Our 2019 event will be divided into two missions:
Mission 1 will take place in Crickhowell, Wales over the weekend 05 July to 07 July 2019. The mission will involve a walk in the Brecon Beacons on 06 July 2019. During and after the trek friends and family will be able to participate in a number of activities designed for all ages. A pipe band from Biggar, South Lanarkshire, Scotland, will play at various times throughout the day.
Following the trek a rugby match will take place between Crickhowell RFC and the armed forces will take place.
In the evening we will all enjoy further entertainment that includes a Soltau style ‘smoker’ with bonfire and drinks until the early hours. New “Tank” beers are being brewed especially for this occasion.
Campsite places are available in Crickhowell for those who wish to stay with friends and family.
There are a limited number of places for camper vans. The cost of camping is included in the ticket price.
For this part of the 2019 challenge Blue Flash Group UK members have decided to support the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association (SSAFA) and Longtown Mountain Rescue Team and Crickhowell RFC.
Mission 2 will involve a number of volunteer veterans conducting an arduous trip. The details of this mission will remain closed until much closer to the date which is likely to be Autumn 2019. The team and mission will test the very best and deliver to those who need.
Preparation for carrying out both missions is ongoing. We will set a standard and deliver on a simple promise. The promise is that we collectively will deliver to those who cannot or have difficulty doing so.
The promise we made to support and to be there for those who cannot. This event will bring us together, we will deliver.
