Our 2019 Event will be split into two missions
Mission 1 will take place in Crickhowell, Wales over the weekend 05 July to 07 July 2019 to support our chosen causes. On Saturday 6th July with the support of Crickhowell Rubgy Club a fete, a trek, a rugby game and bonfire will take place. The focus being to provide entertainment for people of all ages. Pipes and Drums and a Welsh choir will perform at various times during the day. The rugby match will pit the Royal Tank Regiment against Crickhowell RFC. Armed Forces, community and refreshment stands will be present. A childrens rugby match, tug of war and other activities are also planned.
Regulars, Army Foundation College, Cadets, Veterans, Reserves and the local community will support the event that will have something for all. The entertainment and competitions will focus on local traditions and produce. Local and regional business through General Dynamics are heavily invoved.
The trek will also see over 100 in the early hours of 06 July climb Pen Y Fan and return to Talybont on Usk.
A night bonfire will be conducted for all with entertainment, food. Tank and Crickhowell beers are being specially brewed for the occasion.
The event will see nearly many hundreds of people from near and far and all walks of life to entertain or be entertained as part of this special event for Crickhowell.
Campsite places are available in Crickhowell for those who wish to stay with friends and family.
There are a limited number of places for camper vans.The cost of camping is included in the ticket price.
For this part of the 2019 challenge Blue Flash Group UK members have decided to support the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association (SSAFA), Brecon Mountain Rescue Team and Crickhowell RFC
Mission 2 will involve a number of volunteer veterans conducting an arduous trip. The details of this mission will remain closed until much closer to the date which is likely to be Autumn 2019. The team and mission will test the very best and deliver to those who need.
Preparation for carrying out both missions is ongoing. We will set a standard and deliver on a simple promise. The promise is that we collectively will deliver to those who cannot or have difficulty doing so.
The promise we made to support and to be there for those who cannot. This event will bring us together, we will deliver.
